Schedule:
Day
1
Arrival during the afternoon prior to your tour, in time for Afternoon
tea.
Day
2
Breakfast from 8am, Bob your guide, will pick you up at 9am, and drive
to a suitable birding location. The exact location will depend on Bob's
knowledge of what's about, as well as other factors such as tide times.
Although you will normally visit a different location after lunch, the
schedule will be flexible to allow plenty of time to enjoy what you see
without rushing. Bob will bring you back to Plas Mawr at 4:30. You will
then have the evening free to dine out, or relax.
Day
3
Following breakfast, Bob will pick you up and take you out for anothers
day of bird watching, and after your day's birding, your break will finish
back at Plas Mawr at 3pm. Additional nights can be booked if desired.
During the Spring there is the option of an early start to visit RSPB Ynys-hir to experience the Dawn Chorus. This would entail leaving at 5am and returning to Plas Mawr for breakfast at 8am. Birding would resume at 9am and finish at 12.30pm.
Your break could include visits to:

RSPB Ynys-hir for summer visitors such as Pied Flycatcher, Redstart and Wood Warbler.

Nearby Cors Dyfi, where it is possible to get superb views of magnificent Ospreys.

The surrounding hills, such as Foel Fawr, where Whinchat and Tree Pipit may be seen.

Off-shore from Ynyslas you may see Gannets and Manx Shearwater.

At Newquay, Fulmar, Kittiwake, Guillemot and Razorbill may be seen, with the chance of Seals, Dolphins and Porpoise being spotted.
